Carlie Wall

Employing remarkable lyrics with modern rock melodies and just a hint of country ease, fifteen year-old Carlie Wall has been riding a wave of both successful performances as well as a rising tide of fans and followers for the past year playing a mixture of cover tunes and originals with a “Country-Rock” feel.

“Carlie is the full package,” TMC of New Artist Radio Network said of Wall in June of 2010, the first year her full band took to the stage.

Indeed, Carlie has entertained thousands of people at various venues this past year. Included in those shows were her solo singing of the National Anthem at the Lyon’s Rodeo and at the Dixie Kite Festival in St. George, Utah and the Demolition Derby at the Utah State Fair. Summer of 2010 saw the Carlie Wall Band performing at Swiss Days Fair in Santa Clara, the Washington County Fair, the Utah County Fair, the Utah State Fair, the Washington City Car show and on the Main Stage at Tuacahn Amphitheater in Ivins. Carlie was also the winner of the Colgate Country Showdown for Roosevelt Utah in 2010 then moved on to the state level and became the winner for the state of Utah 2010.

Carlie released her first full-length album, Safe to Fall, last year. Blending a wide range of textured and energetic melodies, ballads and heart-felt acoustic songs, Carlie sings melodies that grasp at the heartstrings as much as having meanings that people can wrap their minds around. Carlie honors those who serve in the military with three songs, Someday, Thanks to You, and Angels for Granted, each of these bringing a different perspective in song that honors and recognizes the commitment and sacrifice that our service members take on.

Dixie State College student Katie Maxwell is filming a documentary of Carlie’s music career and will be submitting it to film festivals this year 2011.

Backed by a trio of young but very experienced performers, Brandon Clove on drums, Marc Forrester on lead guitar, and Isaac Ericksen on bass, Carlie is setting up for a full performance schedule in 2011. For more on Carlie Wall, please go to www.carliewall.com.
