Adults & Kids Craft Corner

When was the last time you made a sock puppet? Created an art masterpiece with glue and beans? Bring the kids to the fair on Friday, July 30th and Saturday, July 31st 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day and let them create hands on crafts that they can take with them. And while the kids are having fun with their creations, Mom & Dad can take some time to enjoy yourself with your own make and take projects. There is no charge, compliments of the Uintah County Fair.

Candy Drop

Come and join the fun to the official opening of the fair. At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29th, the action begins with a helicopter circling the front entrance to Western Park waiting to drop candy to the kids below. Drop #1 is for the 9 to 12 year olds and the candy will drop in the north parking lot by the helicopter. Drop # 2 is for the 6 to 8 year
olds and our Uintah County Vernal City Fire Department is on hand with their firemen and fire truck to extend the ladder to heights that let the parachutes float the candy to those anxiously waiting below. The final “drop” is a fishing pond for the little ones, ages 3 to 5, as they get their fishing poles and fish for candy and prizes.
