Caitlin Woods - Miss Uintah County
I am, Caitlin Woods, Miss Uintah County 2013-2014. This year with my title I have been able to do so much with my platform an addiction free life. Being raised with addictions plaguing my family for generations, I knew I wanted to make a change somehow. It wasn't until a series of life changing trials in my family and community that I decided I had to become pro-active. Friends and loved ones were dying from their addictions. Marriages were falling apart, even in my own home. So, I decided that I needed to make a difference. I am working to help people find their freedom and gain their lives back from their addictions. This is a national struggle! My platform "An Addiction Free Life" has already started to change lives. I am now a co-founder of Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center. In a way, my trials have created my dreams. I would like to thank my parents and family for supporting me throughout this crazy but amazing journey. I would also like to thank my amazing sponsors that have helped support me financially to be able to provide the things which I have for the community. There are so many other people that I would like to thank for sharing their support and stories with me. I would like to make a special thank you to my beautiful Miss Tess Barton and her family. They have been along side of me through everything as well as Marrin Pearson and everyone who helps with our pageant. This has been an unforgettable year and I cannot thank everyone enough!
Marrin Pearson - Miss Outstanding Teen
My year as Miss Uintah County's Outstanding Teen has been magical! When I first started to compete for this amazing title a year ago, I thought I would never win. When pageant day came I decided I was just going to go out on the stage and have fun. At the end of the night I was proud of how I had done, and then when they announced my name as the new Miss Outstanding Teen, I was shocked. This year has been full of fun and amazing activities that I will never forget. I have been so blessed to not only participate in the activities all over the County but to be able to go to schools and church groups to spread and share my platform, In My Skin. It has been so much fun to help the community with anything and everything they need. Also being a role model has been awesome. A big part of being Miss Outstanding Teen for Uintah County was that in October I got to go compete with 27 other talented and beautiful girls for the title of Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen. It was such a blast being able to go compete and represent the County and meet fantastic new friends. This past year I have learned so much about myself that I never knew. It has also helped me improve in so many different things. I used to be pretty shy and quiet, and now I can't go anywhere without talking to at least one new person.
